Many people will at some point find themselves at risk of redundancy and this can be a very stressful process with many challenges.
If you are in this situation, there could be a myriad of topics you wish to have help with: career direction, application document support, mock interview refresh and more.
I provide careers advice and guidance on the topics listed here and in my specialisms menu.
A challenging situation
The first thing about finding yourself in a redundancy situation, is that usually it has already cost you a lot of anxiety and a lot of stress. I have even found myself in and survived a large restructure at one of my first roles after graduation! It lingered on for a year with limited clarity and fuzzy expectations for what the outcome would look like.
One thing I am very cognizent of in my approach to helping you in a redundancy situation, is, time can be of the essence.
Perhaps you have a decent redundancy pay-out that can tide you over for a while, and this can be very helpful and sometimes provide even a well earned rest. However, if we let too much of a gap between employment form on our CV, you'd be surprised how easily that can be a reason to not place you above someone else in the recruitment process.
Additionally, if you start the job hunting process when you are a bit rusty, or recruitment may have changed since your last job hunt, then it is easy to waste a lot of time sending out applications that will get rejected. This is hard to cope with emotionally, facing rejection after rejection, but it also means you waste your applications and time on opportunities you actually like.
Therefore learning the process from behind the scenes, with my coaching support, you can produce refined application documents from the start.
You will know what constitutes an excellent candidate throughout every stage of the process and how the 'best' candidate can look different for various companies and roles.
It's important that we take control of your narrative, to help emphasise all you have to offer.
As always, my goal is get you hired, to teach you how to ace each stage of the recruitment process and to ultimately not need me anymore. I don't keep you on the hook for weeks and weeks at a time with endless appointments.
I respect your budget and if you find yourself requiring more support on a regular basis, we can build this in, in a way that works for you.
