In my experience I have supported clients from a range of industries from software engineering to marketing to corporate CSR in situations where their job is at risk or redundancy has already taken place.

Additionally, I've provided information and support lectures at Imperial College London for teams whose research funding was discontinued and as a result were unfortunately made redundant.

These client groups can find themselves in particularly precarious situations, depending on the specific circumstances of their redundancy. Some may stumble along sending out average or below average applications, receiving rejection after rejection, wasting precious time and opportunities before they seek personal career coaching support. By this time they are in a much more stressful time crunch, needing to find a job more quickly than may be possible.

Therefore, for most people at risk of redundancy, timely support is key, so that they can begin their job hunting process using the right and informed processes, resources and methods. This is what I support them with, by explaining how HR teams will assess them from the start of the process to the finish. Luckily, recruitment methods within HR do not vary much from industry to industry as it is its own standalone discipline. Therefore the information is widely applicable to everyone regardless of their industry, for the most part.
